Seven of Wands

Seven of Wands: tarot card meaning

defense

Not every criticism is an attack, but every limit needs to be defended at least once: an untested limit is only a wish.

Meaning

The Seven of Wands is defending what you've won. After the six's victory come the challengers: the position, the opinion, the limits will have to be held. The good news: you're on high ground — the position is favorable, even if under pressure it doesn't feel that way.

How it shows up

There may be pressure from several sides: criticism, complaints, attempts to push you out. You may have to defend your stance against the majority. And it has an unexpected warm layer: playing with children — the same "hold the fort" energy, but in joy.

Love

The relationship may be tested from outside: other people's opinions, an ex, circumstances. Defend the couple, not being right in the internal argument. For someone single: they'll fight for you — or you'll have to fight.

Work and money

Competitors for your post or client may come: hold on — your position is stronger than it looks under attack. In money: protect what you've gained — don't give in to pressure to "invest now / sign now / deliver now".

Health

The immune system holds the defense — support it. Fatigue from constant mobilization: schedule truces.

Reversed

Exhaustion from endless defending: the arms drop. Surrendering the position without a fight. Or defending against a nonexistent attack.

Yes or no

Yes — if you hold on.

Timing

3rd decan of Leo (12–22 August); after the pressure period.

Advice

Hold the position — you're stronger than you look under pressure.

Symbolism

A man up high fends off six wands from below — the attackers aren't seen: only wands; often the pressure is anonymous or the imagination magnifies it. He stands above them all.
